Great.

I really love your melodies in this, and I hate to always be the only guy to comment whenever I hear a good piece.

In the beginning I was a little sketchy, but you have some great fluidity and meat in this song, something that presses you on. My only complaint is that in the verses, it's very hollow. With a little more bumpy bass (considering this is originally a rap or whatnot) and some more satisfying drums, this is a great.

On some other notes, the bass may be a little too obstructive as the piece is very haunting. Perhaps more emphasis on the triangle and less on the square

Finally, I have to say that it reminds me of a pokemon (red) town theme, with the transition being a walk into the gym. Not that I'm a huge pokemon fan, but that game has some stellar music and I felt it was worth noting.

Not bad.

I hate to sound imposing, but it really reminds me of some really old stuff of mine back when I first started (deleted by now).

Mainly I feel that the bass-swell doesn't really fit, and that drum beat (the one I used oh so often) needs a counterpart for variety.

Besides that and some issues with consistency and perhaps fluidity I'd say you should keep going and see where you end up. Definately keep the originality though, that's important.

Thank you, I'll work on that. I'm still new to this whole thing.

Interesting and intelligent

It has great atmosphere and overall works great. As with most drum and basses, however, it very quickly becomes redundant and lacks variety.

Definitely an interesting piece, though.

Ciuka responds:

thanks for the rev was actually just thinking if there was enought variety, promise to spice it up :)

Interesting.

I really like this. While some of the drums seem inorganic, not bad. Glad I took another look at your songs. Favorite'd.

whatisindieanymore?

i honestly could find anything to great in it besides an uplifting atmosphere. keep pressing on.

like vampire weekend

and owl city

Yes.

Haters gunna hate. Potatoes gunna potate.

Relaxing and swell.

Uplifting and smooth.

The lack of percussion is obviously excusable, but I think the lack of attack in the latter section really compliments the feeling.

What program are you using, btw, I could try to help you learn to compose some drums if you'd like (or whatever you need).

Japillow responds:

Oh, that would be great. I'll PM you. Thank you for the review!

lolwut

Seriously... LOLWUT!?

Fantastic.

I love this. Has a little bit of latin to it, and overall makes an interesting acoustic tune. Reminds me of some Omar Rodriguez-Lopez in a way. You got a fan.
